Merlot DOC TRAMIN
The Tramin company produces this fantastic red wine by Merlot grapes. This wine has the DOC Südtirol – Alto Adige certification. The grapes are cultivated in the DOC area Ora, Egna and Termeno. In these territories the vines benefit of the synergy between the mite weather and the habitual rains at the beginning of spring time which allow an early bud with an improvement of the main characteristics of the berry. In this DOC area the wines achieve an extraordinary quality with an aromatic and intense fresh taste. The red grapes profit of the rare autumn sunny days, which allow the spreading of the typical varietal characteristics. The Merlot DOC Tramin is produced with 100% merlot grapes cultivated on calcareous and clay soils. The profit is 70 hectoliters. The grapes are destemmed and then they have to ferment at 28°C in stainless steel tanks. The aging takes place in barrels and the malolactic fermentation is not completed and it lasts 6 months.
