This prestigious wine from the Giovanni Rosso winery comes from the Barolo DOCG area. The Nebbiolo grapes come from vineyards with various exposures, at an altitude of 260-380 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested manually during October and undergo soft pressing followed by fermentation in contact with the skins, according to the red vinification method. The process takes place in cement for 25 days, with daily pumping over and délestage.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has an intense ruby red colour and an intoxicating bouquet of cinchona, cherry, blackberry and aniseed. On the palate, it is refined and elegant, with well-balanced tannins and a long finish.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent with fresh pasta dishes with flavourful sauces, red meat main courses such as lamb skewers, braised meats and stews. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
