Wine description
Merlot DOC of Winery Tenuta Luisa, located in Mariano del Friuli, is a red wine that comes from 100% Merlot grapes, one of the most popular vines varieties in the world. The vinification is preceded by maceration of 15 days to allow the extraction of pigments and odorous substances found in the skins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for 12 days. Elevage on fine-grained lees for 8 months. Ageing in the bottle for a further 3 months.
Characteristics of Merlot DOC
The color is ruby red. The scent is fruity, with notes of raspberries, berries and purple. The taste is pleasant, warm, dry and slightly tannic.

Serve in goblets of medium size and temperature of 16-18°C. It’s perfect with soups, white roasted meats, roast rabbit.
