Chardonnay Tramin Alto Adige DOC

The Tremin winery which is a refined and renowned company from Trentino Alto Adige produces this sensational white wine by Chardonnay grapes. According to the tradition the DOC denomination is “Südtirol – Alto Adige DOC.

The Chardonnay vines come from the areas of Egna, Termeno and Ora where there are calcareous, clay and pebbly soils located at 240-500 meters above the sea level. The profit is 80 hectoliters per hectare.

After the harvest the grapes are immediately softly pressed and the maturation takes place in steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation takes place naturally.

 

Characteristics of the white wine Chardonnay DOC by Tramin

The technical characteristics of this Chardonnay intend the remaining sugars of 2,3 g/l, the acidity of 5,6 g/l and  the proof of 13,3 %. It can be aged until 4 years.

This wine has a hay yellow color tending to a green one. The perfume is delicate, fruity, dry, penetrating. The taste is fresh and lively with pineapple, banana, apple, pear, citron, caramel, vanilla and butter flavors.

 

Suggested pairings with this white wine

It is perfect with light Italian starters. It is perfect with grilled or in humid white meat and fish. It is suggested to drink it during the appetizer with salty snacks.

It has to be served at 10°-12°C in a tulip wine glass to concentrate the scents to the nose.
