Wine description
This red wine from the Apulian Varvaglione winery is made from pure Negroamaro grapes. After the grapes are picked, maceration takes place at a controlled temperature of 26-28 C°. After malolactic fermentation comes the final phase of ageing in French and American barriques for a minimum duration of 10 months.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It presents itself with a very intense red colour. The olfactory notes recall fruit and chocolate, vanilla and coffee. The palate is pleasantly spicy and fruity.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Perfect with red meat dishes. Try it with shellfish. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
