Wine description
This red wine from the Apulian Varvaglione winery is made from 100% Primitivo di Manduria grapes. Vinification requires maceration at a controlled temperature of 26-28 C°. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and finally ageing in French tonneaux for at least 8 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Apulia
It has a brilliant red colour with violet reflections. The olfactory bouquet recalls fruit jam, blackberry, currant, cherry and chocolate. On the palate it is soft with good persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Excellent with meat dishes: grilled, stewed and braised. Serve at a temperature of 14-18 C°.
