This Wine comes from pure vinification of Moscato Rosa grapes and all the vineyards are between 5 and 20 years old. The yield they are able to achieve is 60 hectoliters per hectare of vineyard land. The training system is the Trentino pergola. The origin for this fine vineyard can be traced back to the period when Prince Heinrich von Campofranco in 1851, moved from Sicily to Caldaro, brought with him some Moscato Rosa variety. This grape variety is very demanding when it comes to cultivation and produces a minimal income. The vinification involves fermentation on the skins with maceration for a week at a controlled temperature of 18°C. Then the refinement of 4 months on the fine lees in steel tanks.
Characteristics of this Moscato Rosa wine
The organoleptic test shows a brilliant ruby red color. The scent is rich in rose petals, lychees. The harmonious taste with a nice sweet-acid balance, and an aromatic and persistent aftertaste.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this Trentino wine
The typical dessert wine goes best with desserts such as poppy seed strudel and donuts. The ideal serving temperature is 10-12°C. It should be served in a small tulip-type glass.
