This Ciallabianco from Ronchi di Cialla winery in Friuli is produced with Ribolla Gialla, Picolit and Verduzzo grapes grown in the company's vineyards in the municipality of Prepotto, near Udine. After the manual harvest, the grapes ferments in barrique and it is in the barrique itself that the maturation will take place for a duration of 11 months. A further 20 months of bottle aging will follow.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
The organoleptic test shows a straw yellow color accompanied by an olfactory bouquet with notes reminiscent of pear, apple and plum as well as floral notes. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied and with good minerality.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this white wine
This dry white wine is excellent in combination with fish-based dishes, from appetizers to main courses; try with egg-based dishes, vegetables and medium-aged cheese too. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
