Descrizione vino

The Tramin winery represents the excellence in the Trentino reality and it embodied the contrasts of this land home of the the Gewürztraminer: the charming nature, the poly-sensorial suggestions, the creative precision and production with the aim to improve the quality. The denomination is the Südtirol – Alto Adige DOC. There are used the Merlot, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cabernet Franc grapes. All the vines are locally cultivated and they all come from the south of the Termeno hamlet. The hill is located at 300 meters above the sea level and the soil is pebbly, clay and calcareous. The wine making process starts with the maceration at 26°C with several pumping over to improve the peel releases. It follows the fermentation in stainless steel tanks and the aging in French and big oak barrels.

 

Characteristics of the Merlot Cabernet "Rungg" wine

It has a ruby bright red color. The smell is winy, intense and pleasant. The taste on the palate gives a sapid, full and generous wine.

The red wine Rungg of Tramin of Trentino is a perfect meal wine particularly suitable with roasted meats, game the spicy cheeses. It is perfect with all structured courses of the Italian and from Trentino cooking. It has to be served at 18°-20°C in a Ballon or Grand Ballon wine glass. This wine can be aged up to 12 years if well conserved. When aged the tasty aroma is more spicy, tannic and bodied
