Magnum 1,5 Liters Amarone della Valpolicella Classico "Riserva di Costasera" DOCG in Wooden Box MASI

The "costasera" is considered in Valpolicella one of the best slopes, the one facing the sunset with the vineyards overlooking the nearby Lake Garda. This splendid Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG "Costasera" is produced with the union of the typical grapes of the area; the most precious ones of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Molinara, each of which gives its peculiarities to the wine. After the traditional drying, which lasted until February, the grapes are pressed and undergo a fermentation of about 45 days. The wine then matures for 40 months in 600-litre Slavonian oak barrels. A majestic, complex and elegant wine, suitable for a long aging in the cellar. The vinification involves the use in different percentages for Corvina grapes that represent the basis and are used for 70% of the blend, to which are added those of Rondinella for 15%, those of Oseleta for 10%, and those of Molinara for 5%.

To the appearance that is evident from the organoleptic examination, this wine has an intense ruby red color. The bouquet is elegant and opens with intense aromas of ripe red fruit and spirits combined with delicate notes of cocoa and cinnamon. The taste on the palate is characterized by a strong and enveloping body, with silky tannins and a lively acidity that gives balance and pleasure. Extremely persistent, with a finish reminiscent of marasca cherry and cinnamon.
