Verdicchio Riserva DOCG belongs to the type of white and dry wines. The area of origin is that of the hills of the Castelli di Jesi in the area called Classic DOCG, the oldest and most renowned. The soil is characterized by its typical medium mixture, with areas rich in clay alternating with sandy areas. Elements that give the wine a distinct minerality. The production sees the selection of 100% pure Verdicchio grapes. The very low yield per hectare, the full ripening of the grapes, the fermentation and maturation in small oak casks allow this wine to acquire a particular powerful and elegant structure. Contact with the wood and the long pause in the bottle complete the work, enriching its vein with an elegant and persistent aromatic vein. It is a very long-lived wine if well preserved. Vinification starting from the harvest of the grapes to full maturation with careful selection; then the soft pressing of whole bunches follows, cleaning of the cold must and fermentation in French oak barrels. Finally the aging in barriques for 12 months with batònage, maturation in bottle for at least 2 years in temperature controlled room.
