Descrizione vino

The Loam wine belongs to the prestigious line and selection honored by the DOC Sudtirol - Alto Adige certification. It is produced by the blend of 50% of cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 20% of Cabernet Franc and 30% of Merlot grapes. This prestigious wine is marked by the talent and creativity of the wine man who blended local and traditional grapes with more important red grapes. The result is an harmonic and superb interpretation of the richness of the territory from Trentino. The vineyards located on calcareous and clay soils are at Ronchi a little hamlet at south of Termeno at 300-350 meters above the sea level. The great heat which characterized that area has allowed since century, the production of rich and strong red wines. The maceration occurs at 26°C with continuous pumping overs to avoid substances in the peels. The fermentation takes place in oak barrels and the aging periods takes place in French and then oak barrels too.


Characteristics of this wine produced by Tramin Winery

The Loam name which is the pronunciation of the German word “Lehm”, means clay which refers to the clay characteristic of the cultivation soil. The wine has a bright ruby red color, the scent is winy, intense and pleasant. On the palate it is sapid, full and generous with a structured and persistent body.

The red wine Loam of Tramin winery  is perfect with game, roasted meats and creamy or aged cheeses. It has to be served at 20°C in a high and wide glass to exalt the aromas.
