This Piedmontese red wine from La Spinetta comes from the Valeirano cru of Treiso, near Cuneo, from pure Nebbiolo grapes harvested manually during the harvest. The vineyard faces southwest, at an altitude of 380 m above sea level. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in steel for 15 days; malolactic fermentation follows in French oak barrels, resulting in an 18-month aging period and a further final aging in the bottle for another 6 months.
Features of this Barbaresco Valeirano
It has a ruby red color and an intense, fruity aromatic profile that evokes red fruit, pink grapefruit, white pepper, rhubarb and tea. On the palate it is structured, full with spicy and balsamic calls and firm tannins.
