This balanced Barbera from the Piedmontese winery La Spinetta comes from the Bionzo vineyard of Costigliole d'Asti. The vineyards are located at 250 m above sea level with a southern exposure and at 250 m above sea level. After the harvest, maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in steel at a controlled temperature for about 15 days. Malolactic fermentation follows in French oak barrels, followed by aging for 14 months. Further bottle aging is planned for 6 months.
Features of this Barbera d'Asti
It features a deep ruby red color and fruity notes of black cherry, raspberries and cloves. On the palate it is rich, complex with herbaceous notes. It strikes for a pleasant fruity persistence.
