From the Gallina di Neive vineyard, facing south at an altitude of 250 m above sea level comes this Barbera d'Alba Superiore: an elegant, silky red wine with an unexpected tannic texture. Naceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in steel at controlled temperature for 15 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by a 12-month aging period, followed by another 6 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a ruby red color with purplish reflections, the olfactory bouquet recalls ripe cherry, lavender, sweet spices. On the palate it is full, fresh, with hints of aromatic herbs and licorice. Long and balanced ending.
