Wine description

Firriato's Le Sabbie Rosso wine boasts the DOC Etna. The grape variety used for its vinification is that of Nerello Mascalese blended with Nerello Cappuccio. The origin is Castiglione di Sicilia near Catania, in the Cavanera Etnea estate. Harvest takes place by hand during the second and third ten days of October. The vinification follows the traditional red method in thermo-controlled stainless steel tanks. The refinement of the wine lasts for 6 months.

 

Le Sabbie dell’Etna Etna Rosso DOC Firriato’s features

A brilliant ruby appearance with vivid purple hues. The scent is proposed with typically mineral notes, mature and elegant, alternating with intense and well-defined aromas of black currant, blueberries, plum jam, black cherry, licorice, pepper and dried violet. The well-balanced, harmonious taste moves forward with energy and vivacity, rich, warm and refined, with sweet tannins and a remarkable lineage; to underline the long aromatic persistence and the satisfying and "juicy" finish.

A white from the Sicilian land that expresses strength and elegance, suitable for first and second courses of seafood. Sea bass fillet with Bronte pistachio mayonnaise. The optimal serving temperature is 16 ° C in a high and wide glass that allows the wine to oxygenate.
