This sensational red wine is produced in Piedmont with 100% Nebbiolo. The grapes are harvested when they reach the perfect maturation. After the pressing, the fermentation is activated naturally by local lees. The aging is divided in two phases: first, it is developed in tonneaux made of French oak, and then it continues in the bottle, where the wine rests horizontally at controlled temperature.
Features of “Barbaresco DOCG Lintuito”
Shiny garnet red colour with light orange reflections. Its perfume is intense, with hints of tobacco, spices and dried figs. With the right oxygenation, it gives sensations of red fruits and marmalade. The taste is elegant, structured and pleasant. It recalls chinchona roots and rhubarb.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this red wine produced by MONTALBERA
The main food pairings are represented by braised meat and game. It goes on well with orecchiette with meat sauces or vegetables, turnip, green cabbage, broccoli, legumes soups, aged cheese, “prosciutto crudo di Parma”, “taralli” and dried fruits. It has to be served at 16°C in a wide wine glass that allows oxygenation. The alcoholic strength is 14% Vol.
