Merlot "FUSCO" DOC Fantinel LA RONCAIA
From the vinification of 100% pure Merlot grapes. The origin is that of the company vineyards located in Nimis, within the company limits. Harvest takes place strictly by hand. The vinification requires that the Merlot grapes, harvested at the right ripeness, are partially dried for about 8 weeks. A technique, that of “passitura”, characteristic of La Roncaia: the aim obtaining a more structured, full-bodied and fruity wine. The grapes are de-stemmed, but not pressed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After a maceration of about 25 days, the product is drawn off and placed in barrique. Here the wine remains for 18 months during which it slowly matures. Bottling is followed by further refinement which makes the wine even more mature and balanced.
Merlot Fusco Doc Fantinel La Roncaia’s features
A ruby red wine with garnet reflections. The perfume has an articulated aromatic set, which mixes typically herbaceous notes with intense hints of small red fruits, in a fine, clean and elegant complexity. The taste is structurally balanced, warm, soft, rightly tannic; Fusco La Roncaia is an enveloping and persistent wine.
