Wine list | Montefalco Rosso |
This red wine from Cecchi Winery comes from a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot. The grapes are harvested in the vineyards located in Montefalco in Umbria at an altitude of 350 m above sea level: here the soils are of a medium-textured, well-structured mixture. Following manual harvesting of the bunches, vinification in red is carried out with prolonged maceration at a controlled temperature. Fermentation takes place at 28 C° for about 15 days. Maturation finally takes place in barriques for 14 months and a further 4 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Montefalco Rosso
Striking ruby red colour and an olfactory profile reminiscent of red fruits, primarily cherries. Harmonious and very pleasant on the palate.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
