This VALMASIA Malvasia from the Friulian winery Tunella is made from 100% Malvasia grapes, grown on the gentle hills of Eastern Friuli on soils rich in marl and sandstone. The grapes are harvested by hand during the second week of September: the bunches are picked once they have reached the right degree of ripeness. This is followed by soft pressing and cold settling of the must: yeasts are then added to the must to initiate fermentation, which lasts for around 30–40 days. The wine is then matured through a series of bâtonnages, resulting in a complex and structured wine.
Characteristics of this wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia
It has a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose is fresh, with notes of wild mint, hawthorn, pink grapefruit and lime. On the palate, it is silky, with hints of aromatic herbs and a pleasant savoury note.

Excellent with fish dishes: spaghetti with lobster, turbot ravioli, sea bream fillets and sea bass. Serve at a temperature of 8–10°C.
