This red wine from Prà Winery is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes from the vineyards of Mezzane and Tregnago, located at 450 metres above sea level on calcareous soils. As is customary for Ripasso wines, the vinification of this wine involves a “ripasso” on Amarone pomace for a second fermentation. The final stage of ageing takes place in Allier tonneaux for 12 months and for a further 2 months in large 20-hectolitre barrels.
Characteristics of this Ripasso wine
It has a ruby red colour with violet reflections. The bouquet is a riot of red fruits such as cherry and black cherry, but also spices. On the palate, it impresses with hints of plum, cherry and rhubarb.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent with red meat dishes and mature cured meats. Serve at a temperature of 18°C.
