This Valpolicella Superiore from the Prà Winery is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. The vineyards are located between Mezzane and Tregnago, at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level and with south-east exposure. The grapes are left to dry on the vine for about a month, followed by manual harvesting and vinification, culminating in the final stage of ageing in tonneaux for 18 months.
Characteristics of this Veneto wine
It has a very intense and deep ruby red colour. The bouquet has notes of red fruits such as cherry, blackberry and plum, as well as tobacco, graphite and black pepper. On the palate, it is complex, with elegant tannins and excellent persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Valpolicella
Try it with traditional Venetian cuisine, especially with particularly flavourful dishes based on red meat and spices. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
