Terre Siciliane "IL FRAPPATO" OCCHIPINTI
From the pure vinification of 100% Frappato di Vittoria grapes from organic cultivation, with no chemical intervention. The origin is south of the Iblei Mountains in the south-east of Sicily. Harvest takes place during the first ten days of October. Follows vinification with indigenous yeasts, and 30 days maceration on the skins. Refinement takes 14 months in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels, 1 month in bottle. No filtration.
Terre Siciliane Il Frappato’s features
A dark ruby red appearance. The perfume is a real explosion of intensity and complexity. Notes of red fruit, currant and plum, are embellished with Mediterranean hints of myrtle, tobacco, sweet spices. Taste is enveloping and full, engaging and very long. A wonderfully balanced, deep and reactive wine, infinite in participation and persistence.
