Wine description
Terebinto is a typical small bush diffused in Sicily and in the Mediterranean landscape. This aromatic and intense wine is produced with 100% Grillo grapes and recalls pink grapefruit. The fermentation at 15°C starts after the soft pressing and the static decanting of the juice. The aging on lees in inox tanks lasts for 6 months.
Features of the Terebinto Menfi DOC wine
Shiny straw yellow colour enriched by aromatic perfumes that recall apricot, loquat, bee wax and yellow flowers. Even though the alcoholic content is pretty high, its taste is fresh.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this wine produced by Planeta Winery
It is fabulous with raw fish, pasta with see urchin, fried fish and vegetables. You can drink it young or wait 4-5 years. It has to be served at 8°C, in a high, tapered wine glass.
