Descrizione vino

Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Dorilli represents the essence of this noble red wine. It comes from a careful selection of the best vineyards that surround Dorilli estate, that takes its name from the river Dirillo, where the famous Enea landed. A classy and elegant expression of Nero d’ Avola joined to Frappato, mede special by the aging in wood. A limited production that testifies the history of our lands. It is a blend composed by 70% Nero d’ Avola and 30% Frappato. The soft pressing and the elimination of stalks are followed by 21 days maceration on skins at 25°C. Malolactic fermentation in steel followed by 12 months aging in oak barrels.

 

Features of the "Dorilli" Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG wine

Deep ruby red colour with violet shades. Its perfume recalls dark cherry, cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon. The taste is characterized by soft and mature tannins, well balanced with fruits. Here the oriental spices are fused with bacon, marjoram and figs.

 

Recommended food pairings while tasting this wine produced by Planeta Winery

Excellent with roasted pork spareribs and potatoes. Its complexity goes on well with the fatness of fish. You can age it for 5-10 years. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass that allows the oxygenation. The alcoholic strength is 13% Vol.
