No other production reality in Italy can express so many shades of its region as Planeta with Sicily. 6 cellars, distributed in the main district of the island, are able to offer labels that represent their territories. Ulmo in Sambuca di Sicilia, Dispensa in Menfi, Dorilli in Vittoria, Buonivini in Noto, Feudi di Mezzo in the area of Etna, in Castiglione di Sicilia, La Baronia in Capo Milazzo. This is Planeta, a winery that began its modern life in 1995, but that counts in its past 17 generations, beginning its history in the XVI century. The project of the cellar is concentrated on the best and most important wines of Sicily and it includes past, present and future. From one side, it is linked to the ancient local grapes, from the other side, the international varieties, planted in lands that characterize them in a unique way. Planeta owns 370 hectares. Here the plants are trained with care, respecting the surrounding environment. The same attentions are for the cellar that use renewable energy, recycling materials and resources. The grapes are treated in order to respect their organoleptic feature. The result are important labels for excellent wines that are able to interpret their lands.
