Rosato Rocca di Frassinello is a Tuscan Maremma wine produced by the Rocca di Frassinello winery with 100% Sangiovese grapes from the vineyards surrounding the Gavorrano estate. The harvest is quite early, between late August and early September, to preserve freshness and aromatic fragrance. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel and involves very brief contact of the must with the skins, sufficient to obtain the typical pale pink color. Fermentation always continues in steel and the wine then ages for a few months in steel and a short period in the bottle before being put on the market.
Characteristics of this Tuscan wine
From an organoleptic point of view it has a delicate pink colour, similar to peach petal. On the nose it is fine and immediate, with notes of peach, pomegranate and small red fruits, accompanied by a slight floral tinge and a very evident sensation of freshness. In the mouth it is soft but at the same time savoury and lively, with a slender structure that favours smoothness. The sip is elegant, slightly spicy and closes with a clean finish, in which a pleasant note of fresh almond and crunchy fruit returns.
Recommended pairings with this rosé wine
In the pairings it is a wine designed for a fresh and light cuisine. It works very well as an aperitif and pairs naturally with fish appetizers, shellfish and seafood dishes, but also with baked vegetables and vegetarian preparations. It also finds a good balance with white meats and fresh or delicate cheeses, where its saltiness and freshness help cleanse the palate without covering the flavors. The ideal service temperature is between 10 and 12 °C.
