Wine description
This red wine from the Abruzzo winery Tenuta Ulisse is made from 100% Primitivo grapes. Following the harvest, the grapes are crushed and destemmed for 15/20 days of maceration with alcoholic fermentation in steel at 24-26°C. Maturation takes place in barriques of fine American and French oak.
Characteristics of this Abruzzi wine
On organoleptic examination, it has a purple-red colour with ruby highlights. The olfactory notes are reminiscent of small berries, blackberry and plum as well as floral notes. On the palate the tannins are present but smooth with a nice acid-mineral nuance. Interminable finish.
Suggested food pairings with this Abruzzi red wine
Excellent with all meat or game dishes: roasts, ragouts and braised meats. Also try it with cheeses.
