This red wine from Fantini Winery is made from a careful selection of Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera grapes. The grapes come from the company's vineyards located between Abruzzo and Puglia, particularly Notaresco, Ortona, Sava, and Manduria. The bunches collected manually during the harvest are pressed and destemmed before undergoing maceration and fermentation. Malolactic occurs in oak barriques and maturation then occurs for 12 months in a selection of oak.
Characteristics of this Fantini wine
It has a deep garnet red color and a very intense and persistent olfactory bouquet with olfactory notes reminiscent of currants, cherries, cinnamon and aromatic herbs. On the palate it has a great structure and a velvety tannic texture, with a long and persistent finish.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
