Nero d'Avola "Colomba Platino" from the Sicilian winery Duca di Salaparuta is produced with 100% Nero d'Avola grapes, grown on soils of mixed limestone-siliceous composition located in the central southern part of the island. At the end of the manual harvest in the second half of September, the grapes ferment in steel on the skins with subsequent soft pressing. This wine comes from the union of wines that spend at least 10 months in oak wood; after bottling, the product remains for a month in the temperature-controlled cellar.

At the organoleptic examination it is a wine that shows a beautiful ruby red color and with olfactory notes that refer to red berried fruits. In the mouth it is harmonious and with a nice lively tannin.

This Sicilian red wine is perfect in combination with grilled red meats, game and medium-aged cheeses. To be served at a temperature of 15-17°C in a not very large glass.
