Descrizione vino

The Red Etna "Sentiero delle Gerle" of Mandrarossa is a wine made with the native red grape variety Nerello Mascalese. The vineyards are cultivated on the north-east side of the volcano, the cool and ventilated climate, with strong temperature variations, favors a slow and optimal ripening of the grapes. At the end of the harvest , fermentation in steel tanks with a maceration on the skins of a dozen days. The wine then matures for about a year in large French oak barrels of 50 hectoliters.
