The pure Nebbiolo grapes used to produce this Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from Cantina Giovanni Rosso come from the Langhe DOC vineyards at an altitude of 340-520 metres above sea level and with various exposures. The grapes are harvested by hand in October, followed by soft pressing and fermentation of the must in contact with the skins in cement tanks for about 15 days, during which daily pumping over and délestage are carried out. The final stage of ageing takes place in large 50 hl French oak barrels for several months.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a penetrating ruby red colour; the bouquet is reminiscent of rose, violet and fruity notes of cherry. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh and with a fine tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Try it with structured red meat dishes: first courses with savoury sauces, red meat in the form of stews and braised dishes, mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 14-16°C.
