Cannonau di Sardegna RISERVA "Nuraghe Sas Molas" Binzamanna
Binzamanna cellar produces high quality wines. Its products recall the ancient traditions of the territories of Sardinia. Nuraghe Sas Molas praises the DOC denomination Cannonau and it is produced with 100% Cannonau grapes. The vine variety is cultivated in the whole island, but it is more diffused in the hinterland. Its indigene origins have been discovered only in the last years. In-fact some researchers found in different areas of the island some rests of ancient grapes that date back to 3200 years ago. Its bunches are medium-sized and the grapes are round, with faint, dark violet skin. The pulp has s neutral flavour and the juice is light pink. This vine variety has normally a late harvest and it doesn’t need a particular climate. These features permitted the easy diffusion on the island. The grapes of the red wine “NURAGHE SAS MOLAS Cannonau di Sardegna DOC” come from vineyards located in Angiona, a small location near Sassari where the composition of the soils is mainly characterized by limestone and the elevation of the lands touch 300 meters above the sea level. Guyot training method and manual harvest. The wine making starts at 18°C with the pressing and the elimination of stalks. During the fermentation process, the temperatures are increased till 27-28°C. The maceration with the skins lasts from 15 to 19 days. Once the fermentation ends, the wine decants on lees for 4/5 days, then it is poured in inox containers. Even if the softness of the tannins helps the immediate consumption, Cannonau Nuraghe Sas Molas is a wine that improve with some years of evolution.

The colour of this wine tends to ruby red with deep violet shades. Its perfume is wide and intense, with hints that recall mature red fruits. The taste is dry, smooth, warm, elegant and persistent. It is definitely a powerful wine with a fantastic longevity. 15,5% alcohol
Recommended food pairings while tasting this great Cannonau
Excellent with roasted red meat, game, aged cheeses and with all the traditional second dishes. It is fabulous with “Porceddu” (grilled pork meat) and even as meditation wine. It has to be served at 20°C in a wide wine glass.
