Interview with producer
How was the 2013 grape harvest?
The grape harvest was great. The grapes were perfectly sane and the thermal excursion between day and night has helped the wine making operations.
Which are the future projects for your cellar?
We are building a new and more operational establishment for the transformation process which we will be finished before the next grape harvest and it will be provided by renewable energy. We have more producing news but now we let them refining in the French oak tanks and we will talk about it in November.
In your opinion, how much is important the improvement of the quality of the wines you produce?
Quality is fundamental for a little company as ours because as we do not have economical resources which could be useful for the promotion and distribution of the wines, it is fundamental the direct contact with the customers who have to be convinced by the quality of the product.
If you have to convince a customer to buy your wine, what would you say to him?
Our wines come from a little familiar company where passion has the main important roll.
Which is your favorite thing of your work, and which is the worst?
The land cultivation implies lots of hard work, but it is fully rewarded by the satisfaction of the born of quality products which are the union between the extraordinary generosity of the nature and the sacrifices of the man.
If the Prime Minister would call you and he would ask you a wine for a very important dinner, which wine would you suggest him, and why?
For sure we suggest our red wine SPANU Cagnulari-Bovale because it born by our local vineyards which are specific of our production territory, the Anglona in the north of Sardinia. It has to be match to all the red meat courses.
If you have to give an advice to all the cellars of your territory, what would you advice?
We have to try to create those synergies to permit to let know our territory and its peculiarities going against the market globalization.
In the last years the web commerce is expanding a lot, the online wine shops are growing up more and more; how do you consider this market news?
We think this in a different opportunity of purchasing for the consumers which can be placed side by side of the traditional one. The consumer will chose how to buy. The important thing is to sell quality products and loyalize a customer by a serious, precise and scrupulous service to try to eliminate those prejudices we still have on the online purchasing.
Why have you decided to commit the sale of the wines to the online wine shop Uritalianwines?
Because we have identify those qualities of seriousness I’ve just said.
Which is the wine you would suggest to the online Uritalianwines customers and why?
A part from what we have said before concerning the SPANU wine there are no preferences. They are all wines born from the same productive philosophy. We try to describe them at our best but there are different tastes as there are different occasions to drink wines. Thanks goodness!
