Wine description
This Salento red wine from Mediterranea Winery is made from Negroamaro and Lambrusco grapes grown on karstic limestone soils rich in iron and aluminium. After the grapes are harvested by hand, they are pressed and macerated for about 10 days. This is followed by soft pressing and fermentation with the help of selected yeasts at a temperature of 22-23°C. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is racked and aged.
Characteristics of this Salento wine
It has a very intense ruby red colour and a very delicate bouquet of red fruits and violets. It is very intense on the palate with good persistence.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent with red meat dishes, cold cuts and hard cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C.
