Wine description
This red wine from Terre Carsiche 1939 Winery is made from 100% Primitivo grapes, grown on Karst soils at 300-350 m asl.The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October, after which the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation for about 15-20 days. The final ageing phase requires 12 months in large oak casks and a final 24 months in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has an intense red colour with garnet hues conferred by the barrel ageing process. The olfactory bouquet recalls cinnamon, liquorice, spices and red fruit. On the palate it is soft with a delicate tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Serve with main meat dishes, especially roasts, but also mature cheeses. serve at a temperature of 18-20 C°.
