It is produced with the “Governo Toscano” method with 100% Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile grapes lightly over-matured when withered. It has to age for 24 months in little and big barrels and then it has to refine for 12 months in glass. The Riserva di Nobile di Montepulciano wine is a red prestigious wine son of a research about the Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile grapes which express soft freshness and for this reason is produced by following the “Governo Toscano” method. Technically there are picked grapes from the same cultivation which are lightly withered with an extract of the must of the end of the fermentation. With a little percentage of Colorino, this Riserva expresses power and freshness with an incredible tannin very ripen and soft.

The red Riserva Nobile di Montepulciano wine of the Salcheto winery is produced with the blend of 95% Prugnolo Gentile grapes to which is added a little percentage 5% of Colorino grapes. All the vines are cultivated in the estate of the Salcheto winery and its production never passes the 15000 bottles. The aging lasts 24 months and the 70% takes place in classical wooden tanks whereas the additional 30% refines in Tonneaux barrels which give to the wine structure and roundness in the taste. The refinement takes place in glass bottles and the natural process lasts 12 months. The whole maturation takes place the year 10 and it can lasts 2 additional years.
