Wine description
The use of pure Primitivo di Manduria grapes gives rise to this red wine from the Apulian Varvaglione winery: after manual harvesting, maceration takes place at a controlled temperature of 26-28 C°. Once malolactic fermentation has taken place, it moves on to the final stage of ageing in French and American barriques for at least 14 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Apulia
It has a very intense red colour with garnet reflections. The olfactory bouquet is reminiscent of red fruits and dried fruit. On the palate it is enveloping.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian red wine
Excellent with game, red meat and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
