100% Lagrein grapes, coming from the most exclusive zone for the cultivation of this variety, Trentino Alto Adige. The lands, in these hills, have a south-east and south-west exposition. The soils composition reveals the presence of limestone, clay and sand. The manual selection of grapes starts the wine making process, that proceeds with 10 days maceration in contact with the skins. A slow alcoholic fermentation in steel at controlled temperature follows. The malolactic fermentation is managed in 70/22hl barrels made of French or Slavonia oak. The aging is developed in wood too.
Features of the “Lagrein”
Garnet red colour enriched by aromas that recall spices and fruits. Cocoa and wild fruits, like cherry and blueberries dominate. Its taste is strong. It is characterized by elegant tannins and a good persistence.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this red wine of Trentino Alto Adige
Perfect for every situation. It is suitable with game, red meat and aged cheese. It has to be served at a temperature that swings between 16-18°C in a wide wine glass that allows oxygenation. The alcoholic strength is 13,5% Vol.
