Descrizione vino

The particularity of the Chardonnay wine, which is a consolidate presence in the Terlano Winery, has a remarked freshness with a tropical fruit component which makes it suitable to many courses. This Chardonnay 2014 of the Terlano winery as the DOC Alto Adige certification and it is made with 100% Chardonnay grapes. There is a manual picking of the grapes and it follows a delicate pressing of the entire bunch and the racking off made by natural sedimentation. The slow fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Finally the aging period lasts 5-7 months on fine yeasts in steel barrels.  The production area is Terlano DOC area. The soils are located at 250-500 meters above the sea level with a slope of 35% located at South-west.

 

Characteristics of this white wine of the Terlano Winery

It has a bright and clear straw yellow color. It has a bouquet of exotic fruits, with banana, quince, passion fruit, mango and melon aromas but also some lemon balm hint. The taste is soft and harmonic with a light pear aroma joined by tropical exotic fruit flavor. There is also a salty and mineral taste which make the wine soft and charming. 

 

Suggested pairings with this Chardonnay DOC

It is perfect with raw prawns and shrimps, vegetables risotto, potato and celery soups, with soft robiola and with the knödel of cheese or pasta flavored with cheese. It is perfect also with breaded bass and veil with tuna sauce. It has to be served at 12°C in a high and tapered wine glass.
