Chloè originates in the Valtènesi area, on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda, an area characterized by glacial moraine soils and a mild climate that favors balanced ripening and good preservation of freshness. It is obtained from a blend of native and traditional local grape varieties, particularly Groppello, Barbera, and Sangiovese, which represent the historical identity of the Garda rosé. Winemaking involves a soft pressing of the whole bunch, followed by a pre-fermentative cryomaceration lasting about a week, useful for extracting aromas and a delicate colouring component. Fermentation then takes place in low-temperature steel, a technical choice that allows the varietal aromas and freshness of the wine to be maintained intact.
Characteristics of this Pratello wine
In the chalice it has a pale, bright pink colour, typical of the Valtènesi style. On the nose it offers an elegant and immediate profile, with notes of citrus and white flowers that underline its aromatic finesse. On the palate it stands out for its balance and drinkability, with a light structure but well supported by a marked flavour, a distinctive element of wines produced near Lake Garda. The sip is fresh, harmonious and flowing, with a clean closure consistent with the olfactory profile.
Recommended pairings with this rosé wine
It is a very versatile rosé, ideal both as an aperitif and in combination with simple, Mediterranean dishes. It is best expressed with light first courses, pizzas, appetizers and tomato-based preparations, but it also accompanies fish dishes and summer cuisine well. The recommended serving temperature is between 12 and 14 °C, ideal for enhancing its freshness, aromatic fragrance and savoury component.
