Bottega Star Spumante Extra Dry is obtained mainly from white grapes grown in suitable areas of North-East Italy, where the temperate climate and good temperature variations favor a balanced ripening and the development of the aromatic profile. After the grapes are softly pressed, the must ferments at a controlled temperature; the foam is obtained using the Martinotti (or Charmat) method, which preserves the wine's typical fragrance and fruity component, resulting in a fresh and immediate sparkling wine.
Features of this Extra Dry Sparkling Wine
On organoleptic examination it appears with a bright straw yellow colour, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it offers a delicate and pleasantly aromatic bouquet, with hints of white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, accompanied by citrus notes and floral nuances of acacia and wisteria. In the mouth it is soft and slightly sweet, typical characteristic of the Extra Dry type, well balanced by a good acidity that supports its freshness and makes the drink harmonious and smooth.
Recommended pairings with this wine from Cantina Bottega
It lends itself particularly well as an aperitif thanks to its pleasantness and versatility. At the table he accompanies light appetizers, delicate cured meats and fresh cheeses, unstructured first courses and preparations based on fish or vegetables. It also pairs successfully with slightly spicy or sweet and sour dishes and, thanks to its softness, can accompany non-overly sugary desserts such as fruit tarts or dried desserts. Serve at a temperature of 4-5°C.
