Descrizione vino

This is a very important label of the Classic line of the Terlano Winery. A Sauvignon blanc honored by the DOC Alto Adige certification. The Sauvignon Blanc “SPARGEL” is perfect with asparagus as told by the name of the wine. It is separately harvested and it is advanced bottled. The scent is lightly fruity and its pleasant aroma exalts the asparagus taste. There is a manual picking of the grapes and it follows a delicate pressing of the entire bunch and the racking off made by natural sedimentation. The slow fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Finally the aging period 7 months on fine yeasts in steel barrels.  The production area is at north of Terlano. The soils are located at 250-500 meters above the sea level located at South-west.

 

Characteristics of the Sauvignon "Spargel" Doc wine

The Sauvignon Spargel wine has a straw yellow color with green reflections very light and bright. It has some floral aromas of elder and nettle with some green pepper hints. The taste is dry, fresh and balanced with a long persistence.

 

Suggested pairings with this white wine

Naturally the Bianco Sauvignon “Spargel” of the Terlano winery has to be matched with light or structured courses based on asparagus as for example risotto or boiled asparagus. It is suitable also for being joined to vegetables courses such as the grilled one. It has to be served at 10°C in white, young, tall and tapered wine glasses.
