Pinot Bianco DOC Elena Walch

The vinification of 100% Pinot Blanc grapes. The vineyards come from soils characterized by a steep slope composed of light soils with calcareous and porphyric textures. An interesting synergy is created between the freshness of the land placed in altitude up to 900 meters above sea level and the warmer areas at an average height of 250 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place strictly by hand with careful selection in the cellar. The vinification foresees that the grapes are gently pressed and the must undergoes static clarification. It is then fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 20 º C. The wine then ages for a few months on its lees in stainless steel containers.

Characteristics of this Pinot Blanc

The wine has an intense straw yellow color, with golden reflections. The nose initially gives fruity notes of pear and ripe apple, followed by mineral tones of flint and sulfur, and by precious nuances of saffron, ginger, grated lemon peel and pink pepper. The taste in the mouth is harmonious, soft and well balanced, long-lasting and pleasantly sapid in the finish.

A wine of the Trentino tradition very versatile and suitable for many occasions, excellent in combination with light but also full-bodied pasta dishes, white meat and poultry. The serving temperature is 10 º C in a high and wide glass that favors the concentration of aromas to the nose.
