Wine description
This Confronto Rosso from the Collefrisio Winery is made from a blend of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Primitivo di Manduria grapes. For the production of this red wine from Abruzzo, the grape harvest takes place in the second half of September and October. Once the grapes have been destemmed, a long maceration process of the skins takes place in steel tanks. The final stage of ageing takes place in the bottle for about 10 months.
Characteristics of this Abruzzi wine
It has a ruby red colour. Plum, blackberry and spices prevail in the olfactory notes. On the palate it impresses with its excellent persistence and complexity.
Recommended pairings with this Abruzzo red wine
Try it with sliced meats and cold cuts, main meat dishes, risottos or tagliatelle with mushrooms. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
