Descrizione vino

From the vinification in blend of 50% Friulano grapes, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Sauvignon. The origin is that of the territories of San Floriano del Collio and Cormòns, in the prestigious business. The harvest takes place in September. The vinification foresees the use of Friulano and Chardonnay grapes which are partially dried in fruity by ventilated air which has a humidity close to 0 and a temperature of 6-8ºC, while the Sauvignon is separately pressed after short maceration and cooled to stop the fermentation. When the concentration of the grapes has reached the desired level, the must is mixed and the wine is fermented in steel tanks. The aging on the noble lees continues until the summer followed by bottling before the beginning of the following harvest.

 

Characteristics of this white wine

The organoleptic examination of this sensational Friulian wine shows a saturated straw-yellow color with slight green reflections. The intense and persistent nose, leaves flavors of ripe tropical fruit, acacia honey, orange peel and yellow flowers. The taste has a powerful and long body, soft and warm, but balanced by pleasant notes of freshness and minerality.

 

Serving suggestions tasting Collio Bianco Doc

A wine suitable for great cuisine, baked fish or with sauce: velvety, risotto with truffles and medium-aged cheeses. The optimal serving temperature is 10°C in a high and wide glass.
