A robust and very intense red wine that originates from the cru of Monforte d'Alba, in particular from Vigna Sorì Ginestra. Pure Nebbiolo grapes grow on silty, sandy, calcareous soils, exposed to the south and at an altitude ranging from 330 to 370 m above sea level. After manually harvesting the bunches around mid-October, the process proceeds with maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood and final aging in French oak wood for 24 months.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a very intense ruby red color; the olfactory bouquet revolves around notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and tobacco. On the palate it is elegant, with a blend of spices and dried flowers.
Recommended pairings with this wine from Cantina Conterno Fantino
