From the vineyards of Monforte d'Alba come the pure Chardonnay grapes used to produce this white wine from Piedmont. The west/east facing vineyards are located between 300-550 m above sea level, on silty soils with a large presence of sand. For this wine from Cantina Conterno Fantino, manual harvesting of the bunches is carried out at the beginning of September, when the grapes have reached optimal ripeness. We proceed with pressing the whole grapes, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak wood. The final stage of refinement takes place in French oak wood of various sizes.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a deep straw yellow color and an olfactory profile reminiscent of notes of banana, yellow flowers and honey. On the palate it is slightly savoury, soft and pleasantly fresh.
Recommended pairings with this wine from Conterno Fantino
Excellent with fish dishes and white meats. Serve at 10°C.
