Wine description
This Amarone della Valpolicella red wine from Cantina Casa Lupo is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and other varietals in smaller quantities. Harvest takes place during the last two weeks of September in several passes, and the hand-picked grapes are then stored in drying rooms until December-January. Fermentation and maceration follow in stainless steel, while maturation requires 18-24 months in oak barrels. Further bottle aging is planned until the wine reaches optimal ripeness.
Characteristics of this wine from Veneto
It has a dark garnet red color and fruity olfactory notes of red berries, spices and vanilla. On the palate it is rich and elegant, with an important structure.
Recommended pairings with this Amarone wine
Excellent with braised meats, stews, and game. Serve at 18°C.
