GIUSTINI
Tenuta Giustini is a relatively young family business but already highly recognized in the wine scene of Salento, in Puglia. It was born from the experience of the Papadopoli family, who have been working the land for generations and have transformed a long agricultural tradition into a structured and modern winemaking project. The winery extends between the Ionian Sea and the Itria Valley, in an area characterized by a strong viticultural vocation and a Mediterranean microclimate greatly influenced by the proximity of the sea. The company's history takes shape between the ’90s and the early 2000s, when the family decides to invest in their vineyards and move from agricultural production to the creation of bottled wines with their own identity. The first real symbolic step is the birth of the first labels and the opening of the winery in 2005, marking the transition from grape supplier to direct producer. One of Giustini's most important peculiarities is its strong connection with the Apulian territory and with the native grape varieties. Production is in fact centered on varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Fiano and Malvasia, grown on soils rich in clay, limestone and marine influences that give the wines structure, softness and an intense aromatic profile. The production philosophy is very clear: minimal interventions in the vineyard, manual harvesting, and great attention to grape quality, with the aim of preserving varietal identity without forcing. The winery works with controlled winemaking and modern techniques that allow the raw material to be enhanced, while maintaining a recognizable style consistent with the local area. A distinctive element of the project is also its international evolution: in just a few years the winery has managed to distribute its wines in numerous countries, while maintaining a family dimension in management, with Giuseppe Papadopoli and his sons Salvatore and Federico directly involved in production and day-to-day management.
